NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — An Arctic blast is moving into Middle Tennessee Monday night — bringing rain, bitterly cold temperatures and snow.

Temperatures will be seasonable ahead of the cold front today. As showers arrive, temps will fall into the 50s this afternoon.

The coldest air arrives tonight, and that’s when we’ll see rain transition to snow showers. This isn’t a major snow event, but with the snow happening overnight, there could be some slick spots in the morning. Most areas will see a dusting up to an inch of snow.

This is an early season Arctic blast that will make for a cold Tuesday. Right now, we’re shooting for a high of 32° with wind chills in the teens. Tomorrow night, air temps will be in the teens by sunrise Wednesday.

Highs will moderate a bit for the second half of the week but still below the normal high of 61.
