Edley’s Bar-B-Que robbed at gunpoint in East Nashville; offering reward in case  Tennessean

An East Nashville restaurant is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of two men who held an employee at gunpoint on Halloween while robbing the safe.

Edley’s Bar-B-Que, a popular Nashville restaurant with multiple locations in the city, posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page in recent days about the armed robbery in an effort to help police identify the suspects.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the crime took place at 6:22 a.m. Oct. 31 when two men entered the restaurant, located at 908 Main St., and went to the manager’s office where the male victim was.

One of the men pointed a black semi-automatic handgun toward the victim’s head and demanded money.

The second man took money from the safe while the victim was being held at gunpoint before the pair left the restaurant out the back door.

The restaurant in its Facebook post described the victim as an “Edley’s family member” and posted photos from its surveillance system of the suspects.

The suspects were both described as 5 feet 7 to 8 inches and 150 pounds. One was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt that read “Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished” and both suspects wore masks over their faces.

Anyone with information on the suspects’ identities is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 615-742-7463.
