Arson detectives investigating fire that injured two in Nashville  Tennessean

Arson detectives are looking in to a fire that left two people injured Friday at a home in the north part of the city.

According to the Nashville Fire Department, a 911 caller around 8:50 p.m. Friday reported a house fire with flames visible at 4168 Polk Forest Circle.

Firefighters responding a separate call of someone being burned at the same address arrived to find that the house was on fire.

The department “made an aggressive interior attack” to put out the fire and were able to get it under control.

Two people at the house were injured. Medics transported a man and a woman to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. The woman suffered burns to her hands and it’s unclear how the man was hurt.

The house sustained significant damage, and the American Red Cross is assisting the people impacted.

The fire investigation is ongoing, according to the fire department.
