NASHVILLE, TENN. (WTVF) — A gray Nissan Altima was forced to stop on Interstate 65 South in Nashville just moments before midnight due to a shooting.

Metro police received a call from a frantic family member, claiming a person was shot inside the car. The injured person, police say, was the caller’s cousin.

Emergency responders attempted to revive the victim at the scene. The car was near the exit ramp to Rose L. Parks Boulevard. The incident shut down traffic along the ramp for a short time.

Bullet holes could be seen on the passenger side door.
