Nashville-based Barge Design Solutions will consult with city officials in Lebanon on the construction of a multi-sport complex on that city’s south side.

The engineering and architecture services firm will provide oversight on all aspects of the planning and development of a 150-acre plot to include baseball, softball and soccer fields.

The site is located three miles off Interstate 40 and is expected to help attract events that will draw people from surrounding communities. It also will replace the city’s current soccer complex, which no longer can accommodate the demand.

“I know what it can do for my town,” Lebanon Parks and Recreation Director William Porter told The Wilson Post. “It’s not just about some ball fields. It’s really not just about soccer, and it’s not about baseball. It’s about what I think it’ll do for Lebanon.”

Barge Design Solutions has been in business for more than six decades and has 15 offices spread across five states, including five in Tennessee.
