NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is dead following a shooting early Saturday morning in a parking lot in North Nashville, Metro police (MNPD) say.

Officers responded to a shooting call on the 200 block of West Trinity Lane shortly before 12:30 a.m. and found 55-year-old Darrell Walker shot.

Walker was rushed to Skyline Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. He is known to have been staying at a motel on Brick Church Pike.

A witness who heard the shots reported seeing someone running from the scene toward West Trinity Lane.
