Among ex-presidents, there is no question that Jimmy Carter is a baller.

I mean, really: 95-years old, a black eye, stitches in his head and, a day later, he’s building houses in Nashville. From NBC News:

The spokeswoman, Deanna Congileo, said in an email message to The Associated Press that Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, who is 92, were eager to be at a Habitat for Humanity build in Nashville, Tennessee. The opening ceremony for the project was scheduled for Sunday evening, and it runs through Friday…Meanwhile, he has continued with his humanitarian work. And he also has occasionally weighed in on politics and policy, recently expressing hopes that his Carter Center would become a more forceful advocate against armed conflicts in the future, including “wars by the United States.”

As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!).

Democracy really needs to go into the shop for a spell.
