NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Say goodbye to September! Despite the heat, it’s finally fall in Middle Tennessee.
Butterfly Festival Fine Arts and Crafts Festival – Shelbyville
Friday and Saturday
This year’s fine arts and crafts festival is being held at The Fly Arts Center. There will be a preview party Friday night before Saturday’s butterfly release. You can also expect an entertainment stage, artist demonstrations and outdoor classrooms.

African Drum and Dance Festival – Murfreesboro
Saturday
The African Drum and Dance Festival returns to the Patterson Park Community Center this weekend. Artists will be teaching drumming and dancing from several African countries, including Nigeria, Guinea, Senegal, Ghana, Togo, Benin, the Ivory Coast and Congo.
The free event is for all ages .
Oktoberfest at Oaklands Mansion – Murfreesboro
Saturday
You can get an early start on Oktoberfest celebrations this weekend at the Oaklands Mansion. The event will feature several local craft brewers and live music. Gate admission is $40 for craft beer drinkers and $20 for designated drivers. You can get a discount if you purchase in advance.

Hey Smashville! You’re invited to help kick off the 2019-2020 season with the second annual PredsFest at 2 p.m. The event is free and you can expect appearances from Preds players. There will also be live performances by Moon Taxi and Yacht Rock Revue.
