NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police have identified a suspect in connection with a shooting that killed one and injured two others in Nashville.

The shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Cheatham Place Apartments, located on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard near Garfield Street in the Buena Vista area. It’s unclear what led up to the shooting.

Metro police arrived to find all three victims inside an apartment. A 59-year-old woman and a 49-year-old man were rushed to an area hospital, where they are expected to survive.

According to investigators, the third victim, identified as 41-year-old Stefvon Murphy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the victims identified the suspect during an interview. Metro police are now searching for Alphonso James, who is wanted on charges of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
