Yoop, an entertainment company empowering fans and creators through live events, is bringing its Yoop eSpace—a first-of-its-kind eConcert experience and interactive way to attend events—to one of Nashville’s best-known performance venues.
NASHVILLE, Tenn (WTVF) — It’s been a slow return for live music in Music City and virtual concerts have become the norm but new technology will make the virtual experience even better by allowing fans to interact with the artist during the concert.
Yoop eSpace is a first-of-its-kind eConcert experience and interactive way to attend events at one of Nashville’s known performance venues.
Located in Jackson Hall at Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC), the Yoop eSpace creates a zero-lag, two-way visual and audio communication experience for fans and creators when interacting with each other no matter how large the audience.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, live music across the country has been put on pause. But it hasn’t stopped artists like Jenny Toleman and others from getting creative.
“So far we’ve had two test run performances and we have one again tonight and the artist have been great,” said Yoop partner, Steve Moore.
The band prepped for a concert Thursday night at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in front of large screens instead of what would have been an audience.
Instead, the fans will show up on the screens. It took Yoop two years to develop the program.
Yoop launched its first Yoop eSpace in Montreal earlier this year, returning people to work by activating 2,300 music industry jobs. After several years of development, Yoop prioritized the eSpace launch in light of the COVID-19 climate. With the debut of the Yoop eSpace Nashville, several local entertainment crews have been reactivated, including REACH, Silent House Productions and Solotech.
“We feel like this brings a lot of unique features for the artist that you don’t find in every particular option that exist,” said Moore.
Unlike a social media live stream, Moore says this experience gives fans a front-row seat.
“The live interaction with the fans, they’re able to see the artist and the artist can interact with the fans in real-time with zero lag and no distortion or delay.”
Through the app, artists can look and talk directly to their fans.
