But Olesen is alleged to have then molested the woman while Poulter slept. The Dane is also accused of urinating in their first-class aisle.

Cops were waiting to meet the BA flight from Nashville, Tennessee, when it landed at Heathrow on Monday.

A witness said of Olesen: “He started abusing some of the passengers and crew and then made a pass at one of the female passengers before taking a leak in the aisle.

“It was shocking behaviour. You would expect it maybe on a budget airline but not in the first-class cabin on BA.’’

Olesen and Poulter were playing at the WGC-FedEx St Jude Invitational at Memphis last weekend.

Olesen, who lives in London, finished a disappointing 27th and tweeted: “Now for some time off and practice to get things right.”

Poulter’s agent Paul Dunkley said last night he helped calm down a “slightly intoxicated” passenger.

He added: “He then went to sleep and the first he knew of anything else was when the police were waiting at Heathrow.”

The Met said a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, being drunk on board an aircraft and failing to comply with the orders of cabin crew.

He was “subsequently released under investigation”.

BA said: “This sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.’’ Olesen could not be reached for comment.
