Mayor Karl Dean and Metro Schools partnered in 2010 to launch a new network called the Nashville After Zone Alliance (NAZA) – which provides fun, enriching activities for middle school students outside of classroom time. The program provides volunteer opportunities for young adults and college students wanting to become more involved with the Nashville community by mentoring and/or tutoring teenagers in Davidson County.
