Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown reacted to the news that the Atlanta Falcons signed wide receiver Julio Jones to a huge contract extension — and he believes his own team will have to pay him big money in the future.

Jones and the Falcons agreed to a massive three-year, $66 million extension that will pay the receiver $64 million at the time of signing. It was a well-deserved payday for one of the league’s elite wideouts.

Brown had his own reaction to the news on Instagram, but the 2019 second-round pick also had a message for the Titans, according to A to Z Sports Nashville.

As A to Z Sports points out, you’ve got to love the confidence of Brown. The Titans could certainly use that kind of attitude going into 2019.

Tennessee can only hope Brown ends up being deserving of the kind of money — or at least something similar to it — that Jones is getting. That would mean Brown has become an elite receiver and general manager Jon Robinson nailed the pick of the Ole Miss product.

As a franchise, the Titans haven’t had much luck with receivers over the years. While there have been some good players catching passes in Tennessee, none of them have been the caliber of Jones, a Hall of Fame talent.

Now, the Titans have two such candidates to be the cream of the crop at the position. Along with Brown, who is still in the very early stages of his career and has a lot to prove, the Titans also sport Corey Davis, the team’s current No. 1 wideout.

There’s no question quarterback Marcus Mariota has the best supporting cast of his career when it comes to pass-catchers, and this Titans air attack should thrive as a result.
